•optimized for computation on real-time data flows as well as for control-oriented tasks
•High skill requirement for development.
•High design cost.
•Slow product development
•Smaller than GPP.

 GPP:
•The system designer only needs to program the processor’s memory to carry out the required functionality.
•Easy to design and use.
•Low development cost.
•Fast product development.
•Performance is not very good.
•Size is high.
